5 Stunning Marquise Rings

First created in the mid-1700s for King Louis XV, the Marquise cut has long been used in fine jewelry and ring designs. The way this long, elegant shape is cut maximizes the surface area that the eye sees, which can make it seem larger for the carat weight. It is typically set in simpler designs to make the unusual shape the focal point. These are some of our favorites.
Bali Accented Marquise
The accented band on this classic piece laterally balances the visual weight of the Marquise cut stone. It feels very proportional and this gives it a classic vibe, even with the less-common Marquise center stone. From the side, the trellis setting has floral undertones that give a feminine flair to this sturdy ring.
