Don’t Finance Your Fiancée

According to The Knot, that’s 21% more than the average just five years ago. Consider that the average salary for men 25-34 years old is about $35,000, and that means a $6,100 is about 16% of a guy’s salary.
That’s ridiculous.
No man or woman should devote that amount of money to a ring, especially when it could be used toward things that really matter. Like saving for retirement. Or a house down payment. Or, heck, a honeymoon.
That’s not to say you shouldn’t want an engagement ring. We love engagement rings (we’re a jewelry design company, after all). But we do believe there’s a reasonable way to get a ring you love without sacrificing quality, style or financial security.
Just imagine what you could do with that remaining money. Put it toward your wedding or honeymoon. Save it for a rainy day. Pay off debt or student loans. It just makes sense.
On top of all that, you can have the dream ring and the dream proposal. Don’t settle for anything less.
